Dear {First Name},

This winter, I’m thrilled to be participating in the Chesapeake Climate Action Network’s (CCAN’s) annual Polar Bear Plunge to keep winter cold! Th Plunge is CCAN’s largest fundraiser of the year, and I’m proud to support their work by plunging into icy waters on February 6th.

I’m jumping into freezing water to raise funds for their vital climate work - and I’m reaching out to ask if you’d consider donating to support my plunge! Your donation will help support CCAN’s efforts to combat climate change and protect our future!

What makes this year’s Plunge special?

We are facing a climate emergency, and CCAN is more determined than ever to drive change. With more than two decades of experience under their belt, they’re tackling the climate crisis head-on with impactful campaigns in DC, Maryland, Virginia, and on Capitol Hill. When you donate you’ll be helping to:

Fight data center sprawl across the country
Halt new fossil fuel projects
Hold the biggest fossil fuel polluters accountable for their role in the climate crisis, taking the financial burden of extreme weather off of everyday people

{Add a personal note here about why you care about the climate and why you’re plunging.}

My personal goal is to raise $XXX, and I’d love your help in reaching that! You can click here to donate: {insert personal fundraising page link}

Thank you so much for considering, and I hope I can count on your support as I prepare to jump into freezing water to make a splash in the fight against climate change!

With gratitude,
{Your Name}
